On Peat...

I went on a geology tour on Vashon Island, or a geography tour or something. We saw all this stuff called peat all over the beaches and everything. It was caused by trees and stuff being compressed by glaciers during the ice age. It had layers, so the ice ages must have gone back and forth over it.
